Application
This burner has been designed and developed to produce a long flame for better heat distribution in firing radiant tubes.

It contains a flame length control so that the flame can be adjusted to fit the tube.

A primary air adjustment feature permits the application to a full range of tube sizes, using any industrial fuel gas.

Operation
Quieter operation is obtained as the major portion of combustion air is introduced around the outside of the flame retention nozzle.

This diverted air flow enables the prolonging of combustion over a greater distance to get the best distribution of heat.

The entire amount of low pressure air for combustion is supplied through the "sealed in" burner, therefore the burner does not require an eductor or exhaust fan.

Capacity turndown ratio is 5 or 10 to 1 depending on the air pressure and the type of burner control used.

The RTG burner can be operated with automatic control systems of the on-off, high-low or modulating types.

Use any industrial fuel gas including natural, artificial, mixed, propane, butane and unscrubbed coke oven gas (steel mill coke oven gas when specified).

Air supply pressures can be from 356 mmWC to 1422 mmWC and gas from 52 mmWC to 152 mmWC, depending on the type of gas and intended capacity.

These pressures are then modulated by the control system for required operation.

Construction:
The burner unit includes a mounting flange with integral air inlet body, flame length control lever and indicator dial, an observation port permitting safe and easy viewing of the flame, gas inlet body with primary air mixing adjustment, full flanged air and gas inlets and nozzle assembly.

The nozzle has supporting posts to keep it centred in radiant or immersion firing tubes with diameters of 5", 6" or 8".

Pilot ignition is available with a spark igniter or a manual or spark ignited gas pilot, with or without an observation port.

The standard burner can be used for applications up to 982ΕC.
