Chemical corrosion testing of enamels according to ISO28706-2

The Technical Committee (ISO/TC 107) has published ISO 28706-2:2017 as of February 2017.

This standard specifies a test method for the determination of the resistance of flat surfaces of vitreous and porcelain enamels to boiling acids, boiling neutral liquids, alkaline liquids and/or their vapours.

This method allows the determination of the resistance of vitreous and porcelain enamels to the liquid and vapour phases of the corrosive medium simultaneously.

This new standard replace the previous one ISO 28706-2:2008.

  • This test equipment is used for the determination of the resistance of flat surfaces of vitreous and porcelain enamels to boiling acids, boiling neutral liquids and/or their vapours, according to ISO 28706-2.
